Hello my friends! Wow it's been quite a year thus far indeed. I went on a full U.S. tour with RxBandits which was great as well as very COLD! Goodness my thin California blood almost froze in my veins. Props to those folks who live in Minnesota and the upstate NY, don't think I could handle it. A few weeks after that tour RxB went to the southern hemisphere for our first time. We played 2 shows in Caracas, Venezuela which for me was a life changing experience. I was brought to tears merely by the sight of the ghettos that spatter the hillsides of Caracas, as far as the eye can see. It really put things in perspective to realize how fortunate we all are to have been born in such a beautiful place that California is, never having to worry about our next meal. Any money problems I've ever had in my life are meaningless compared to the strife of the third world poor. It really makes you starkly aware of the things you have and the opportunities that are garnered with such situations. Thanks to Marcel, Marcel's mother and Grandma, Virginia, Faces, Victor, Marion, and Nany for organizing the shows, the countless TV and Radio interviews and for showing us around and treating us like familia nueva. Lo aprecio mucho! No tengo las palabras a describir las gracias! These folks also took us on a beach trip to Playa Larga (long beach venezuela!) and even hooked me up with a board to surf that immaculate blue green caribbean ocean. The next day we were taken on a couple mile jungle hike to a awesome waterfall, absolutely unsane! Coke vs Bills even recorded a new song in Marcel's studio which we will share with you quite soon. So what's next for MDB you ask? Well there is a rumor that the third record by the Sounds of Animals Fighting will be finished next week and will be released in september on Epitaph records. Someone told me it's being recorded in the Elizibethan... hmm.... The debut EP from Peba Luna will be finished end of May and set for release in July. Waxwane, the debut full-length from love you moon will be out on Itunes on May 20th, available for mailorder on June 2nd and released in stores on July 22nd. Pre-order has begun on Myspace.com/loveyoumoondog. That's it for now look for an all new music player with unreleased tracks from MDB artists!

I hope everyone had a wonderful 2007! It was a landmark year for the MDB community as we continued to document and experiment. 2008 is going to be great! Matt Embree's solo project "love you moon" has been completed and is awaiting finishing touches on the artwork for release. You can check out some of the tunes off the upcoming debut full-length "Waxwane" on his myspace page. Although the release date is not confirmed it looks as though it will be the first week of May. Also on the way is the PebaLuna debut EP, currently untitled. New songs coming to the mdb player this week! Rumors of a new record from The Sounds of Animals Fighting are swirling around as well.... we'll have to wait and see....

Yes it's been a while. It has been a busy last 5 months for me indeed! RxB played a bunch of university shows in April and May, in June we did a mini tour out to the festival Bonnaroo, played Bonnaroo (obviously) and just concluded a short but fruitful and exciting west coast run of concerts. I have been working on my solo project Love You Moon since July 11th and am almost finished. I have also been working on another project called Peba Luna with my good friend Lauren Coleman whenever I can steal some time in between. As far as releases go 2007 has started off pretty slow but looks to end with a bang-pow action lao! The Return's new and sadly FINAL album came out in early July and is entitled "The Arsonist (plays the Architect)". It is amazing, Derrick's voice has reached new levels of excellence as well as the rest of the band's musicality. This record was recorded live in our studio "the elizibethan" just like "Danger Danger..." and with even more complex and challenging parts it is that much more impressive. The next release will be the RxB record "..and the battle begun" on double 10" vinyl. It will be released in september about the time we take off for europe. I am so stoked about this as a vinyl collector. It looks so good! Thanks Nagel! So in the near future as well we have the Peba Luna EP and in December the Love You Moon debut full length.
