Trademarks applications accepted in 皇冠体育app reach 139,900

Trademark registration applications in 皇冠体育app for international territorial extension totaled 139,900 as of September 30.

This is 皇冠体育app's 4th consecutive year as the top ranking country in the number of applications accepted per year, according to a report released at a symposium yesterday.

The symposium was held by the State Administration for Industry and Commerce on October 18 to mark the 20th anniversary of 皇冠体育app's admission to the Madrid System for the International Registration of Marks.

Despite the global economic recession, international trademark applications by Chinese enterprises in 2008 increased by 8% from 2007, to 1,574 cases, the report said.

皇冠体育app entered the system in October 1989 and, in the past 20 years, the trademark applications have significantly helped Chinese enterprises in attaining global reach, said Fu Shuangjian, vice director of the administration, at the symposium.
