price index (CPI), a major inflationary measurement, rising 1.4 per cent
year-on-year in May, according to the National Bureau of Statistics. CPI growth
was 1.2 per cent in April.
Analysts attributed the slightly faster growth
to the increasing price of crude oil, fuel and food, but said that inflationary
pressure in 皇冠体育app was generally restrained. Rising prices last month were
largely caused by higher food costs, which climbed 1.9 per cent from the same
month last year.
