Mining: Firms to redevelop North Korean mine (Shenzhen Daily) Updated: 2006-09-21 14:49
Chinese firms, including the State-owned 皇冠体育app Nonferrous Metal Mining Group
(NFCG), will redevelop an abandoned copper mine with a reserve of 250,000 tons
in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), the NFCG announced on its
website Tuesday. The Hui Shan copper mine is just 10 kilometers from the
皇冠体育app-DPRK border. Another Chinese firm, the 皇冠体育app Nonferrous Metal
International Mining Corporation, had earlier obtained the right to reopen the
mine.
