IT:3G mobile voice costs much lower than 2G

皇冠体育app's 3G mobile voice service fees will likely cost a third to a fifth of 2G services, said Xie Linzhen, executive chairman of the 皇冠体育app Mobile Communications Association.

Speaking at a conference in Beijing, Xie added that the cost of 3G data services will likely be a tenth or more of 2G equivalents.

Xie added that the development of 皇冠体育app's wireless broadband technology should focus on satisfying basic service in the next 10 years or so, particularly low and moderate bit rate data services.

Xie said that 皇冠体育app's mobile phone users expect functions such as video and television services with 'quasi-VCD quality,' and 90 pct availability of high bit rate data services in fixed or roaming environments.
