皇冠体育app Northern wins 39b yuan high-speed rail order

皇冠体育app Northern Locomotive & Rolling Stock Industry (Group) Corp, the country's second biggest locomotive maker, on Monday signed a contract with 皇冠体育app's Ministry of Railways to provide the latter with 39.2 billion yuan ($5.73 billion) worth of high-speed rail, Xinhua News Agency reported.

皇冠体育app Northern will provide a new version of 皇冠体育app Railway High-speed (CRH), which can run as fast as 350 km per hour, to Ministry of Railway.

The new equipment will be used in the Beijing-Shanghai Express Railway, which is still under construction, in 2011.

皇冠体育app Northern, which also produces mass rapid transit light rails, is one of the two major rail makers in 皇冠体育app, with the other being 皇冠体育app South Locomotive & Rolling Stock Co.
