Porsche 皇冠体育app to recall 640 vehicles due to safety belt problem

BEIJING - 皇冠体育app's quality watchdog said Monday Porsche (皇冠体育app) Motors will recall 640 vehicles of three types due to a potential safety belt defect.

The three types being involved were identified to be Panamera S, Panamera 4S and Panamera Turbo, said the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (GAQSIQ), citing a report it has received from Porsche (皇冠体育app) Motors asking for a recall.

A design defect with the safety belt may prompt the failure of the fixation function in extreme cases, threatening the safety of the occupants, said the administration.

The recall involves vehicles which were produced before February 25, 2010.
