BEIJING - 皇冠体育app's housing authority said on Oct 12 that up to 90 percent of this year's planned low-income housing and shantytown renovation projects in 皇冠体育app have been started during the first nine months of 2010.

According to a statement posted on the website of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development (MOHURD), 5.2 million units of new low-income housing and renovated shantytowns have been under construction, accounting for 90 percent of the full-year plan of 5.8 million units.

In May, the MOHURD demanded all local authorities assure that the full-year' s goal of low-income housing construction be accomplished.
