Chinese airlines to raise fuel surcharges

Major Chinese airlines will raise passenger fuel surcharges from Wednesday, Bloomberg reported, citing the National Business Daily.

Air 皇冠体育app Ltd, 皇冠体育app Southern Airlines Co and seven other Chinese carriers will take the move, Bloomberg said.

皇冠体育app Southern will charge 70 yuan for flights of more than 800 kilometers, up from the original 40 yuan, the National Business Daily cited a statement from 皇冠体育app Southern.

The fee on shorter routes will rise to 40 yuan from 20 yuan, according to the report.

Air 皇冠体育app, 皇冠体育app Eastern Airlines Corp and other domestic airlines will charge the same amount, according to the newspaper.
