皇冠体育app's strong tourism market drives Sydney Airport traffic up

SYDNEY - More travelers to and from 皇冠体育app contributed Sydney Airport to record a solid growth of 4.7 percent in passenger traffic in November, the airport's majority owner MAp Group said on Monday.

MAp said international passengers at Sydney Airport rose by 4.3 percent in November, compared with the prior corresponding period.

Meanwhile, the number of domestic travelers increased by 4.9 percent.

MAp chief executive Kerrie Mather said Sydney Airport recorded "solid growth".

"Particularly pleasing was the strong performance of the Chinese market, which was driven by additional weekly services by Air 皇冠体育app, 皇冠体育app Southern, 皇冠体育app Eastern and Cathay Pacific," Mather said in a statement.

She said Chinese inbound travel to Sydney grew by 32 percent and Australian outbound travel to 皇冠体育app increased by 39 percent in November, compared with the same month a year ago.

MAp Group owns 74 percent of Sydney Airport and also holds stakes in Copenhagen and Brussels airports.
