BEIJING -- Chinese shares closed lower Monday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.12 percent, or 3.48 points, to close at 2,816.69.
The Shenzhen Component Index fell 0.13 percent, or 16.39 points, to finish at 12,490.55.
