HK's foreign currency reserves drop in Sept

HONG KONG-- Hong Kong's official foreign exchange reserve assets amounted to $277.7 billion at the end of September, down by $1.9 billion from August, the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) announced Friday.
The total foreign currency reserve assets of $277.7 billion represent over eight times the currency in circulation or 55 percent of Hong Kong dollar M3.
