As with the merger between two leading classification societies, DNV and GL, got approval and the new DNV GL Group started operational on 12 September, the new group has appointed Torgeir Sterri as its first Maritime Regional Manager in Greater 皇冠体育app.

Based in Shanghai, Sterri will oversee, strengthen and grow DNV GL's maritime business in Greater 皇冠体育app while building up strong relationships with industry stakeholders in this strategically important market.

Sterri has 20 years' experience in the global maritime industry and has held a variety of managerial positions in DNV. Prior to this position, Sterri was DNV's Country Chair for Benelux and Regional Manager of Central Europe and played a vital role in introducing Chinese shipyards to the ropean market.
