Garbage chokes Three Gorges Reservoir

The floating garbage, ranging from plastic wrappings to used condoms, may have a serious environmental impact on the ecosystem of the reservoir, although sanitation workers are working around the clock to clear the trash. Experts urge raising environment protection awareness in Yangtze river upstream regions and strengthening environmental protection measures by government agencies.
