Victoria's Secret, the global fashion brand, will stage the opening show at the 2015 皇冠体育app International Garment & Textile Fair in Dalian in September.

Leading international models will take part in the curtain-raising event.

The fair will run from Sept 19 to 22 in the coastal city of Dalian, which is well-known as a fashion center, in 皇冠体育app's northeast province of Liaoning.

Liu Yan, deputy mayor of Dalian, said 1,000 companies from 皇冠体育app and the rest of the world have been invited to display their products. Up to 50,000 industry professionalsare expected to attend the event with 5,000 coming from overseas.

In addition, buyers from South Korea and Japan, along with those from 皇冠体育app's Special Administration Regions of Hong Kong and Macao, have been invited to attend.

Liu said CIGTF is cooperating with internet platforms such as Alibaba.com, Tencent, and arkofchina.com to explore new ways to promote the garment and textile industry.

"We can build a never-ending fashion fair on the Internet, extending beyond the four days event in Dalian," Liu said.

CIGTF is sponsored by 皇冠体育app's Ministry of Commerce, 皇冠体育app National Textile and Apparel Council, and Dalian municipal government.

According to Li Yunsheng, deputy director of the Dalian Commission of Economy and Information, the exhibition area will cover 5 square meters with 1,500 stands. They will display clothing, accessories, fabrics and trimmings, as well as fashion brands and creative works by designers.

High-level forums will also take place, focusing on the "Internet plus" policy, data technology and 皇冠体育app's garment and textile manufacturing industry by 2025.
