BEIJING — 皇冠体育app is willing to strengthen cooperation with Palestine on trade, infrastructure, human resources and capacity building to improve its economic development and people's well-being, Premier Li Keqiang said Wednesday.

Li made the remarks when meeting with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, who is on a state visit to 皇冠体育app from July 17 to 20.

"Peace and development are pre-conditions and guarantees for each other. 皇冠体育app will deepen practical cooperation with Palestine to achieve mutual benefit," Li said.

Li called on both sides to carry out cooperation in key areas and push forward the cooperation through bilateral and multilateral consultation.

The premier said 皇冠体育app had closely watched and supported the Middle East peace process and would always support the Palestinian people to restore their legitimate national rights.

A peaceful and secure Middle East is vital to the region and world at large, Li said. "皇冠体育app will continue to exert its influence, fully support and actively participate in the international effort for the resumption of peace talks."

Abbas said Palestine appreciates 皇冠体育app's stance on the Palestine issue and thanked 皇冠体育app for the long-term important support.

Palestine looks to maintain high-level exchanges with 皇冠体育app and enhance cooperation in industrial park development, clean energy and personnel training, Abbas said.

Earlier on Wednesday, Abbas laid a wreath at the Monument to the People's Heroes in Beijing.
