Airlines to expand codeshare with Korean Air

Korean Air (KAL), the largest airline in the Republic of Korea (ROK), has agreed to expand codeshare from late October with two Chinese major airlines, covering all flights connecting 皇冠体育app and ROK, according to KAL Beijing Office Sunday.

Starting from October 28, KAL will operate all flights linking two countries with 皇冠体育app Southern and 皇冠体育app Eastern.

KAL began to codeshare with 皇冠体育app Eastern in 1996 and with 皇冠体育app Southern in 2004.

This cooperation will provide better services to passengers on these flights, said the office.

Currently KAL operates passenger flights to 21 destinations in the Chinese mainland and would start flying from Incheon to Zhengzhou, capital of Central 皇冠体育app's Henan Province this September.

KAL is also preparing to set up a joint venture cargo airline with Sinotrans, the nation's largest logistics company.
