Japan's NEC Electronics Corp aims to double its sales in 皇冠体育app to 100 billion yen ($845 million) by fiscal 2010 by boosting its operations in the market, which is expected to grow more than 10 percent annually, the Nikkei business daily reported on Sunday.

The chip maker, 70 percent-owned by NEC Corp, plans to double its workforce in 皇冠体育app, including the number of its design engineers, by fiscal 2010 from the current 400, the paper said.

Chip sales are expected to expand in 皇冠体育app on rapidly growing demand for semiconductors used for air conditioners and electric bicycles, the Nikkei said.

The company also aims to raise its sales to Chinese home electronics makers to nearly 50 percent of its total sales in 皇冠体育app in fiscal 2010 from 35 percent in 2006, the paper said.
