World Bank eco-loans

The World Bank recently approved three loans, valued at $441 million last week, to support projects such as 皇冠体育app's energy-efficiency financing project (in addition to $13.5 million from the Global Environment Facility) and the Shandong Smoke Desulphurization project.

The funds are aimed at helping 皇冠体育app improve its energy efficiency and reduce power plant emissions. The amount of the three loans accounted for nearly one-third of planned loans that the World Bank will provide to 皇冠体育app in 2008.
