BEIJING - Chinese equities closed lower Tuesday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.63 percent, or 16.61 points, to close at 2,611.35.
The Shenzhen Component Index dropped 1.19 percent, or 135.33 points, to end at 11,274.49.
