BEIJING - Chinese shares closed lower Friday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 27.17 points, or 0.93 percent, to end at 2,899.79.
The Shenzhen Component Index fell 1.37 percent, or 175.22 points, to finish at 12,613.11 points.
