BEIJING - Chinese shares closed lower Wednesday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 5.11 points, or 0.18 percent, to end at 2,913.81.
The Shenzhen Component Index declined 0.53 percent, or 68.45 points, to finish at 12,880.27 points.
