BEIJING - Chinese shares closed lower Thursday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 45.01 points, or 1.5 percent, to 2,957.14.
The Shenzhen Component Index lowered 153.36 points, or 1.17 percent, to 13,004.86 points.
