BEIJING - Chinese shares closed lower Friday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 23.35 points, or 0.79 percent, to 2,933.8.
The Shenzhen Component Index dropped 156.84 points, or 1.21 percent, to 12,848.02 points.
