BEIJING - Chinese shares closed slightly higher Friday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 9.59 points, or 0.33 percent, to 2,906.89.
The Shenzhen Component Index rose 71.32 points, or 0.56 percent, to 12,721.99 points.
