BEIJING - Chinese shares closed higher Thursday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 6.55 points, or 0.22 percent, to 3,007.91.
The Shenzhen Component Index rose 149.78 points, or 1.18 percent, to 12,890.66.
