BEIJING -- Chinese shares closed lower on Thursday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 1.52 percent, or 41.15 points, at 2,664.28.
The Shenzhen Component Index lost 1.55 percent, or 179.98 points, to 11,435.99.
