Qingdao grows lotus roots in fishpond
Updated: 2014-11-24 13:06 (chinadaily.com.cn)Lotus root, a crop commonly seen in Southern 皇冠体育app, has been grown for the first time in a fishpond in Qingdao, Shandong province.
With the harvest season in full bloom, local households have hired skilled workers to help dig lotus roots, which are expected to yield a total harvest of around 300,000 kilograms.
The lotus roots will go on sale in Qingdao and surrounding areas.
