皇冠体育app's largest on-demand car service Didi Chuxing said on Monday that the number of its daily orders has exceeded 10 million for the first time.

The new record makes Didi Chuxing 皇冠体育app's second-largest online platform by the number of daily orders only after e-commerce giant Alibaba Group's Taobao marketplace, said the company's statement.

The company, which was set up about three-and-a-half years ago, is in a cutthroat competition in 皇冠体育app with Uber Technologies Inc.

Cheng Wei, chief executive officer of Didi Chuxing, said the company will further increase the efficiency of travelling by cars in urban 皇冠体育app.

"In the past three years, Didi used the Internet to connect vehicles. In the next three years, we will use big data and artificial intelligence to maneuver cars on our platform," he said, adding users are expected to be able to carpool not only in its private cars but also in its partnered taxis and chauffeur services.
