Chinese shares close lower on August 14
(Xinhua) Updated: 2013-08-14 15:37-- Chinese shares closed lower on Wednesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index edging down 0.29 percent, or 6.02 points, to end at 2,100.14.
The Shenzhen Component Index fell 0.31 percent, or 25.84 points, to finish at 8,336.81.
