Suzuki plans to launch a production variant of the Authentics concept in the second part of next year, according to local media.

Revealed in April at Auto Shanghai, Suzuki's Authentics concept will transform into a production model in the second half of 2014 for the Chinese market. It will be locally built by the Changan-Suzuki joint venture and has been specifically developed for the Chinese market.

The Suzuki Authentics will be priced between 100,000 and 150,000 yuan and will have to face competition coming from other C-segment sedans such as the Nissan Sylphy and Chevrolet Cruze. It will utilize the same platform as the Suzuki S-Cross and will be the first larger sedan to be built by Suzuki in 皇冠体育app as the Kizashi has always been imported and remained unpopular due to a high starting price of 188,800 yuan.
