Uma's single!
If you saw the pictures of Uma Thurman looking very bored as she kissed her long time boyfriend, Andre Balazs a few weeks ago, you’re probably not too surprised that the couple have called it quits. Page Six broke the break up news today as Uma’s rep issued this statement from her about the split: "Unfortunately, it is true. But we remain close friends."
A source told the gossip column, "They recently got into a huge fight and Uma dumped him. Uma had decided he was not the kind of man she would marry and was looking for a way out." Chances are Uma won’t have to wait long before running into another willing suitor. The actress was dazzling in a nude Atelier Versace gown at Sunday’s Oscars and likely won many new admirers.
Uma attended the awards show alone, but brought her publicist to the Vanity Fair after party. The NY-based actress "stayed at the Peninsula during the Oscars - and I don't think it was because she couldn't get a room at the Chateau Marmont," an insider told Page Six, referring to the fact that Balazs owns the infamous Chateau Marmont.
Yet another source told Page Six that there may be hope for Uma and Andre after all, though. The couple is merely "taking a break. They are very good friends. There's no rancor."
