Nicki Minaj returns to twitter

Nicki Minaj has returned to twitter - but has lost her 11 million followers.

The 'Superbass' hitmaker deleted her account just nine days ago after becoming angry with her tracks being leaked online, but has now returned to the social networking site under the same name @nickiminaj.

All of her original tweets have been restored, but she has yet to tweet since she has returned.

Nicki claimed earlier this week she did plan to return to the site at some point because she felt bad for her fans, who she calls Barbz.

She said: "Reinstate my account? I don't know yet. I have to say, I've been kind of enjoying life without twitter.

"But I feel bad for the Barbz. They got really sad when I deleted it."

She also revealed she rarely sees any negative responses to her tweets because she has so many fans.

She added: "I think most artists will experience a lot of negative people on twitter but, thank God, I've got so many followers that I'm not able to see them that much. I'll see some from time to time but, for the most part, I always focus on something good.

"But the way I deal with it is if I see someone tweet something bad, I'll retweet it and put some lewd thing back."
