Limited edition photographs of Heath Ledger
One of Hollywood's hottest young couples went head to head on the night of June 28 in a bitter battle - and Miley Cyrus proved that while her fiance Liam Hemsworth might be six foot tall and made of muscle... when it comes to the crunch she's the boss!
The newly engaged pair stepped out together in Hollywood for the first time since Liam's proposal, so that he could receive the Breakthrough Award from Australians in Film. But, as if the award weren't enough, Liam quickly found something else he wanted - a collection of limited edition photographs of Heath Ledger and Rose Byrne signed by photographer Rupert Thorpe.
The pictures, taken shortly after Heath had completed work in Two Hands were shot during an epic trip to Las Vegas back in 1999. Unfortunately for Liam he wasn't the only bidder - and his competition was none other than his future wife. After a furious flurry of bids back and forth Miley eventually won the day with a massive final bid of US$22,000 - Declaring "I win, I'm done." and then announced she would donate the pictures to the Western Australian museum for their upcoming exhibition on Heath's life.
