The 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together' singer has taken to her twitter account to complain about her nasal problems and has urged her fans to vote for her to win the MTV Europe Music Awards (EMAs) she has been nominated for to make her feel better.

Taylor tweeted: "Got a cold. I'm carrying around a box of tissues like it's my new favorite accessory, sneezing excessively, talking like a frog/old man."

She added: "The voting for the EMA's ends soon, so you can go here http://tswift.co/ts-ema if you want. Or if you just feel bad for me cause I'm sick."

Taylor is nominated for five gongs at the annual bash including Best Female, Best Live Act, Best Look, Best Pop and Best World Stage.

She is scheduled to perform at the EMAs on Sunday (11.11.12) in Frankfurt, Germany.

Despite a cold, the 'Love Story' hitmaker braved a performance for Norwegian/Swedish talk show 'Skavlan' on Wednesday (07.11.12).

The 22-year-old country star also turned on the Christmas lights at London's Westfield shopping centre in White City on Tuesday (06.11.12).

Taylor recently topped charts in the US and UK with her fourth studio album, 'Red'.

Speaking about the album's success at the lights switch-on, Taylor said: "This has been an amazing couple of weeks. Putting out this album, I didn't know what to expect. I had taken a lot of chances musically and worked with different people that I've never worked with before.

"I had hopes my fans would get what I was doing there and that they'd embrace it. The fact that they celebrated that and 1.2 million of them went out and bought it the first week, and it became my first UK number one album, it is absolutely unbelievable. It just feels so great that the effort paid off from making the record for two years."
