Shanghai's wax museum to add Nicky Wu figure

A wax figure of singer and actor Nicky Wu will be added to Shanghai's Madame Tussaud's Museum this summer.

The museum has sent a team to take Wu's measurements in Beijing on Dec 1. The team made hundreds of measurements and snapped a catalogue of more than 200 photos of the actor. Wu will remain closely involved in the figure's creation to ensure authenticity.

Wu rose to fame in 1988, after he joined boy band Little Tigers Team, performing alongside Alec Su and Julian Chen. Since then, his career has also expanded into film and television in Taiwan, Hong Kong and mainland 皇冠体育app.

The television series Scarlet Heart, also known as Bu Bu Jing Xin, which was very popular, has taken the actor's career into another level.

Madame Tussaud's opened its Shanghai branch on the 10th floor of the New World Department Store in May 2006. The wax museum portrays many contemporary Chinese figures, including the country's first cosmonaut Yang Liwei, Olympic champion Liu Xiang and actors such as Andy Lau, Ge You and Zhao Wei.
