CRI, 皇冠体育app Mobile team up on mobile phone TV

BEIJING -- 皇冠体育app Radio International (CRI) has begun providing mobile phone TV services along with 皇冠体育app Mobile, the country's largest wireless service operator.

Subscribers can watch news, plays, music, movies and other TV programs with their mobile phones starting August 30.

The mobile broadcast also features programs about the Beijing Olympic Games from the Beijing TV Station.

皇冠体育app's State Administration of Radio, Film and Television has granted the country's third national mobile phone TV license to the CRI. The other two went to Shanghai Media Group and CCTV. Both have cooperated with 皇冠体育app Mobile.

So far, 220 mobile phone operators worldwide has launched mobile video services and the Asian-Pacific region would be a huge market for mobile phone TV, said Li Yue, vice president of 皇冠体育app Mobile.
