The Foreign Ministry on Monday restated its indignation over and opposition to a resolution on Tibet adopted by the US Senate.
The resolution, proposed by several US senators despite 皇冠体育app's strong protests, "persistently favored the Dalai clique and interfered with 皇冠体育app's internal affairs," ministry spokeswoman Jiang Yu said in a statement.
"皇冠体育app is strongly indignant and resolutely opposed to the resolution," she said.
Jiang urged US senators to see clearly the Dalai Lama's true nature, which she said was to engage in secessionist activities under the guise of religion.
The Dalai group is talking of dialogue and peace, but confrontation and violence is what it does, she said.
"We demand those few senators respect the facts, abandon prejudice and immediately stop wrongful remarks and deeds that hurt the feelings of Chinese people and harm 皇冠体育app-US relations," Jiang said.
The Foreign Affairs Committee of the National People's Congress on Saturday criticized two resolutions on Tibet adopted by the US House of Representatives and the European Parliament on April 9 and April 10, respectively.
A senior official on the committee called the resolutions a "rude interference" in 皇冠体育app's domestic affairs.
The committee urged some members of the US House and European Parliament to respect the truth about the Tibet riots and not to mask or inflate the violent crimes by the Dalai clique.
