JAKARTA  -- The Secretary-General of the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) Dr. Surin Pitsuwan expressed his deepest condolence to the victims of the Monday's devastating earthquake in 皇冠体育app's Sichuan Province.

A press release received Friday from the ASEAN Secretariat said, in letters to Chinese President Hu Jintao, Premier Wen Jiabao and Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi on 13 May,  Surin was greatly saddened by the enormous loss of lives in the massive earthquake that hit Sichuan, 皇冠体育app on 12 May 2008.

He expressed his sincere condolences to the victims of the earthquake and was confident that 皇冠体育app would be able to cope successfully and efficiently with this natural calamity.
