Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao meets S Korean president

PATTAYA, Thailand -- Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao met South Korean President Lee Myung-bak here on Saturday.

The two leaders, who were here for the summit between the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) summit and 皇冠体育app, Japan and South Korea and the East Asian summit, met at Dusit Thani hotel around noon time. The meetings were scheduled to be convened on Saturday and Sunday, but delayed by anti-government protests.

During the meeting, Wen said 皇冠体育app and South Korea has kept frequent contacts, and the bilateral relations are getting closer.

皇冠体育app, Japan and South Korea has established partnership relations when leaders from the three countries met in Japan last year, deepening mutual understanding and strengthening cooperation, Wen said.

Lee Myung-bak agreed that friendly cooperative relations between the two countries have been established and political mutual trust has been strengthened.
