BEIJING: 皇冠体育app and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) pledged to enhance their cooperation hereon Wednesday.

A reception was held here Wednesday evening by the DPRK embassy to 皇冠体育app to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between 皇冠体育app and the DPRK.

Addressing the reception, Ismail Tiliwaldi, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of 皇冠体育app's National People's Congress, said that 皇冠体育app-DPRK good neighborly and friendly cooperation has been strengthened with joint efforts of both countries during the past 60 years.

皇冠体育app has always cherished the traditional friendship with the DPRK, he said, adding that 皇冠体育app would like to further bilateral ties in the spirit of "inheriting the tradition, facing to the future, developing the good-neighborly relations and strengthening cooperation," to make new contribution to regional peace, stability and development.

DPRK ambassador to 皇冠体育app Choe Jin Su said the DPRK is willing to take the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties and the Year of DPRK-皇冠体育app Friendship as the new starting point to push DPRK-皇冠体育app friendly relationship to a new height.

皇冠体育app and DPRK forged diplomatic ties on Oct. 6, 1949.
