Proposed law fetters diplomats' marriage

Chinese diplomats with foreign spouses will not be allowed to serve overseas, according to the draft of a new law under review for the second time by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, 皇冠体育app鈥檚 top legislature, the People鈥檚 Daily reported Friday.

The law also mandates that diplomats serving overseas must report important personal events, such as getting married, to their organization. It also requires them to disclose key information about their spouses, and forbids anyone under the age of 23 from serving overseas. .
