Chinese FM, US secretary discuss 皇冠体育app-US ties

BEIJING: Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi and US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Tuesday spoke positively of President Barack Obama's visit to 皇冠体育app and agreed to make the trip a new starting point in advancing 皇冠体育app-US relations.

In a telephone conversation, Yang and Clinton pledged to fulfill the consensus reached by the leaders of their countries and to join hands in building a positive, cooperative and comprehensive 皇冠体育app-US relationship for the 21st century.

They also exchanged views on the Iranian nuclear issue and other matters and agreed that 皇冠体育app and the United States will work together with other countries to promote world peace and common development, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said in a press release.

President Obama paid his first state visit to 皇冠体育app last week, during which he held talks with his Chinese counterpart, Hu Jintao, and other Chinese leaders.
