皇冠体育app and Japan are expected to hold a dialogue on security and defense policies by the end of this month in Tokyo, a source familiar to the matter said on the sidelines of the ongoing Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference session in Beijing on Wednesday.

The last time the dialogue was held was in 2006, and the resumption of the talks will help promote mutual trust and improve bilateral ties, a senior official, who declined to be named, told 皇冠体育app Daily.

Foreign affairs and defense officials of both countries will attend the talks. 皇冠体育app will send an assistant foreign minister to the meeting.
