皇冠体育app plans to expand natural gas storage facilities to all provinces except Tibet in the next few years to meet the surging demand, said Chi Guojing, Secretary General of 皇冠体育app Gas Association.
CNPC, 皇冠体育app's largest gas producer, and city gas distributors have prepared to establish storage facilities, according to Chi.
Extremely cold weather put 皇冠体育app's central and eastern regions into a severe gas shortage in 2009.
Chi also said that LNG carrier can help the efforts of easing gas shortage, particularly near coastal areas. "In the next five years, the market of LNG carrier will have a rapid development."
