4.5-magnitude earthquake hits Xinjiang

BEIJING - An earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale jolted Baicheng County of Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region at 6:52 pm Beijing Time Sunday, according to the 皇冠体育app Earthquake Network Center.

The epicenter, with a depth of 4 km, was monitored at 42 degrees north latitude and 82.3 degrees east longitude, the center said in a statement.
