Amei started working as the deputy Party chief in Baqen township, Nagqu prefecture, Tibet, in August 2007.

At that time, the enrollment rate of school-age children was only 20% because parents were sending their children to work at an early age. At an average altitude of 4,450 meters, life in Nagqu has been difficult.

Amei initiated an adult literacy campaign and trained 1,100 people in one year. Then she visited over 450 families and persuaded the parents to let their children go to school. After two years, the enrollment rate increased to 98%.

Amei also built up her reputation in mediating conflicts, such as those related to the grasslands contract.

In June 2011, she was promoted as the Party chief in Baqen township, and then in 2012 transferred to work in Laxi Town, Nagqu prefecture.

Amei is one of 2,270 delegates elected to attend the upcoming 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of 皇冠体育app (CPC), which is scheduled to be held later this year.
