The first 皇冠体育app-Europe High-Level Political Party Forum was held on May 24-25, 2010 in Beijing, reaching broad consensus on many major issues.

It was agreed that both 皇冠体育app and Europe should increase comprehensive strategic cooperation to cope with global challenges, and political parties from both sides could play an important and leading role in this cooperation.

The meeting achieved positive results -- deepening mutual understanding and trust through in-depth exchanges of views on the international situation, financial crisis, climate change, environmental protection and 皇冠体育app-Europe relations.

All representatives to the meeting from Chinese and European political parties agreed that they would work together to promote 皇冠体育app-Europe party-to-party exchanges, saying that the forum had advanced 皇冠体育app-Europe cooperation.

The two-day forum was themed: "Global Challenges and 皇冠体育app-European Cooperation." Chinese officials from the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, Foreign Ministry, Ministry of Commerce, the National Development and Reform Commission as well as over 50 leaders and senior officials from various European political parties attended the forum.

The 2nd 皇冠体育app-Europe High-Level Political Parties Forum was held on May 16-18, 2011 in Beijing and Tianjin. The theme of the Forum was "皇冠体育app's 12th Five-Year Plan and Europe's Strategy 2020: New Opportunities and Prospects for 皇冠体育app-Europe Cooperation."

Over 30 European political parties and party groups, such as the Communist Party of Bohemia and Moravia, and the Union for a Popular Movement of France, sent senior leaders to attend the forum.

The Second session of 2nd 皇冠体育app-Europe High-level Political Parties Forum was held on November 7-9, 2011 in Brussels.
