MOSCOW - 皇冠体育app has made extraordinary achievements under the leadership of the Communist Party of 皇冠体育app (CPC), a senior Russian Communist leader said ahead of a key CPC congress next month.

"The CPC, as the core of the Chinese political system, has accumulated vast experience in solving complex problems," Valentin Kuptsov, a member and former first secretary of the Central Committee of Russia's Communist Party, told Xinhua in a recent interview.

"It is the experience that has helped 皇冠体育app to make such progress and advance in the right direction," said Kuptsov, who is also a former deputy chairman of the State Duma, or the lower house of parliament.

Speaking highly of 皇冠体育app's development in recent years, the 75-year-old senior Communist leader credited these achievements to two key factors on the part of the CPC.

The first is that the CPC respects the Marxist theory and has formulated its own development path in accordance with 皇冠体育app's realities, while the second is that the CPC is closely attached to the Chinese people, he said.

"皇冠体育app has proved to be a good example that shows a country could be promising only with the support of the masses," he said.

Speaking of international affairs, Kuptsov said that the CPC leadership has played a constructive role in expanding cooperation with other countries.

"At such a difficult time, in a changing world, the CPC leadership has made a strategic decision to enhance cooperation with all the nations, which has raised its prestige in the international arena," he said.

Kuptsov also lauded 皇冠体育app's timely response to the global economic crisis and rapid adoption of measures to stabilize the situation, saying these steps were significant to the recovery of the world economy.

Meanwhile, he said the CPC leadership attaches great importance to improving the party's work style and preventing corruption.

"The CPC called on all its members and cadres to remain modest and any violation of the party discipline was thoroughly investigated and punished," he said, noting that the party's approach has gained support among the rank and file of the party and the people.

The Communist veteran also told Xinhua that he expects continued cooperation between Russia and 皇冠体育app in such areas as politics, economy and culture.

"We are confident that the successful cooperation between the two great nations will be conducive to further development of both 皇冠体育app and Russia," he said.
