BEIJING - Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang said on Wednesday that there was no need for countries to panic over 皇冠体育app's setup of the East 皇冠体育app Sea Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ).

Qin made the remarks at a daily news briefing when asked to comment on Japanese media reports that Japan is considering expanding its ADIZ in the Pacific Ocean after 皇冠体育app announced the establishment of its zone on Saturday.

"I have yet to learn the official news [about Japan's expansion of ADIZ]," Qin said.

He stressed that 皇冠体育app's setup of the ADIZ is a justified act of self-defence, not one aimed at any specific country or target. "Relevant countries need not make a fuss, panic or relate themselves to it," according to the spokesman.

Asked if 皇冠体育app will consider to establish a similar zone in the South 皇冠体育app Sea, the spokesman said 皇冠体育app will set up other ADIZs in due time after completing relevant preparations.
